Vendor terms
These terms cover selling on StrataSim Shop. They are deliberately short and specific. The binding contract is the Seller Agreement, which every approved seller signs in the vendor console; if the two ever differ, the agreement prevails.
The commercial terms
- Commission: 15% of the net sale price. You receive 85%. Your rate is agreed when you are approved, and changing it only ever affects future orders: every order line records the rate in force when it was bought, so history never re-rates.
- Payout hold: 14 days from each sale, covering the refund window. After that the balance is available and goes out on the next payout run.
- No exclusivity. Sell the same product anywhere else you like, at any price you like.
- No listing fee, no monthly fee. We earn when you do.
Who sells to the buyer
We are the seller of record. We take the payment, we owe the tax, and we own the chargeback. You are selling to us, and we are selling to the buyer. Payouts reach you through Stripe Connect, so your bank details and tax documents stay with Stripe rather than with us.
What you are responsible for
- That you own or are licensed to sell what you list, including any third-party content in it.
- That the listing is accurate, particularly the simulator compatibility.
- Technical support for your own product.
- Keeping licence-key stock available, if your product issues keys. Checkout blocks a sale when your pool is empty rather than taking money we cannot fulfil, so an empty pool costs you sales.
What we are responsible for
- Taking payment, computing and remitting tax, and handling billing questions.
- Hosting and delivering your files, and keeping them available to buyers who own them.
- Paying you on the terms above.
- Showing you your sales as they happen, not in a monthly PDF.
Refunds and chargebacks
A refund reverses the sale, including your share. A chargeback does the same. Both appear in your earnings as a negative entry and net off against future sales. We do not invoice you for a negative balance.
We may refund a buyer without asking you first where the product is clearly not as described. We will tell you when we do.
Buyer privacy
You see that a sale happened, which product, and the billing country. You do not get buyer names, email addresses or any other personal data, and you may not ask us for them.
Removing a product
You can unlist any of your products immediately, without review. Buyers who already own it keep their download and their key: that is a commitment we made to them at the point of sale and it survives the listing.
Suspension
We may suspend an account for selling content the seller does not own, for a listing that misrepresents what it does, or for a pattern of unresolved buyer complaints. Money already earned is still paid out.
Changes
We may change these terms with 30 days' notice for anything commercial.
